A £20 million Marriott hotel in Catcliffe, Rotherham, is set to open in September 2025, following a year-long construction hiatus. The six-storey Courtyard by Marriott Sheffield is now actively recruiting 50 staff members, including roles such as assistant front office manager, front office supervisor, and sous chef. The hotel aims to accommodate up to 300 guests across 150 rooms and is expected to become a key dining and conference venue for the region.

Construction resumed in January 2025 after the project was halted in 2023, leaving the building exposed to the elements. With approximately 70 contractors currently on site, the hotel is progressing rapidly, with furnishings and carpets now being installed. Emily White, director of sales, expressed optimism about the project's revival, acknowledging the challenges faced during the hiatus.

The hotel is managed by RBH Hospitality Management on behalf of Marriott and is strategically located near the Advanced Manufacturing Park, catering to both business and leisure travelers. Interested candidates can apply for positions through the hotel's recruitment listings on Indeed.
