In a landmark fiscal year, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's compensation surged 46% to nearly $50 million, marking his first salary increase in a decade. This substantial raise comes as Nvidia capitalised on the booming demand for artificial intelligence technologies, positioning itself as a leader in the AI sector. Huang's pay package includes a base salary increase to approximately $1.5 million, up from $996,514 the previous year, with the majority of the compensation attributed to the soaring value of stock awards.

Nvidia's exceptional performance in fiscal 2025, driven by its dominance in AI chip production, led to the company briefly becoming the world's most valuable publicly traded company with a market capitalisation exceeding $3.3 trillion . The company's annual revenue surged 114% year-over-year to $130.5 billion, reflecting the growing demand for AI technologies . This financial success enabled the company to exceed both revenue and operating income targets, even surpassing aggressive stretch goals set by the board's compensation committee.

The significant increase in executive compensation, including Huang's, underscores Nvidia's strategy to reward leadership amid substantial industry growth. Other top executives also saw notable pay raises; for instance, Indian-origin executive Jay Puri's compensation increased from $13.6 million to $21.6 million, representing a substantial hike of nearly 70% . These adjustments reflect the company's commitment to aligning executive rewards with its remarkable financial achievements and strategic positioning in the AI market.
